The Superposition Series overlays acoustic simulations onto intentionally-shaped surfaces. The surfaces distort the projected image as the simulated energy and shaping combine.
Superpostion No 1 overlays 15 square rooms onto 15 diffusive tiles of cast gypsum. The tiles are prototypes for EMPAC Studios 1 and 2 which were designed by Belanger and saved from destruction in approximately 2007.

The Tapestry Series tiles acoustic simulations into large-scale, silent digital projections. No energy crosses between tiles - no “room” influences any other - and yet large structures and symmetries emerge and develop across the grid.
